Wedding Photography – Brittany and Devan at Scotland Run CC

Scotland Run Wedding Photography. Brittany and Devan had a beautiful wedding at Scotland Run Country Club. I had such a wonderful time meeting with them, then enjoyed them even more after their engagement session at Longwood Gardens. We enjoyed a soccer game together in April (they are both former soccer players) and I have already invited them to social events. They are fantastic friends and love both of them. I could not possibly be happier for their marriage, and the have the honor of being their wedding photographer.

Brittany and Devan met at work, tending bar in south NJ. They love experimenting making creative cocktails together (check out their signature drink!) and helping others to have a good time. They are both very giving in that respect, which is one of the reasons I enjoy being around them so much. Those of you who have worked with me at weddings know how much I enjoy helping the couple, family, and friends all have a good experience.

How They Love Each Other

I ask my couples what they love most about each other shortly after they book their wedding package with me. Here’s what they had to say:

Brittany: There are so many things that I love about Devan. I love how she always puts me before herself, how close she is with her family, especially her nephew, how much she loves our dog and how she spoils her. I love how she’s sensitive but at the same time is such a strong woman. She makes me laugh like no one else can, and would give anyone the shirt off of her back if they needed it. We share the same values and beliefs, she makes me feel safe and so loved, she is the most honest, trustworthy, and loyal person that I’ve ever met. Most of all, I love that she makes me the very best version of myself.

Devan: It is impossible to limit what I love about Brittany to one thing because the things I love about her are endless. She is such a beautiful person inside and out. I love how selfless she is, how she puts not only myself but her friends and family before herself. She has such a pure and genuine heart, she is the smartest, most caring, goofy, sensitive, hardest working woman I have ever met. She knows how to put me in my place when needed, she is my shoulder to lean on when I’m down and the only person that can put a smile on my face when I’m having the worst day. I absolutely love her positivity and outlook she has on life and the drive she has in everything she does. Brittany makes me the strongest person I can be and she completes me. Needless to say she is my best half.

Getting Ready

Brittany and Devan both got ready at the Courtyard by Marriott in Deptford. They were in adjoining suites, so we were able to hop back and forth as needed. They resisted the temptation to peek in on each other, and didn’t see each other at all until it was time for the First Look.

Bella-Angel did an amazing job with the ladies’ hair and makeup. The gorgeous flowers are from Michael William Florist in Thorofare, NJ. The gowns are both from Claire’s Fashions in Wilmington, DE. Make sure you read what’s on the shoes!

First Look and Portraits

It was a really hot and sunny day, so anything we did outside was done rather quickly. They had their First Look at the hotel’s lovely courtyard, and then we headed over for some Scotland Run Wedding Photography . We got some beautiful portraits and wedding party/family photos, even though everyone was really suffering and squinting in the sun. And of course, our resident T-Rex “Cuddles” was on hand for an extra special photo.

Getting Married

After a quick refresher inside, it was time to tie the knot. Brittany and Devan processed into the garden terrace, to join their family and friends. A beautiful ceremony was led by their officiant, and included a lovely sand ceremony which included both of their Moms. Everyone cheered when they were pronounced spouses for life, and you can see the sheer joy on their faces as they walked back down the aisle officially as Mrs. and Mrs.

Time to Celebrate!

After the ceremony and a very nice cocktail hour, it was party time. Brittany and Devan entered the reception in the coolest way: mixing drinks. And as is their way, they immediately began serving others, pouring shots for their wedding party members.

Their first dance and parent dances were all quite emotional. Our team member Cat also got teary eyed, because Brittany and Devan’s first song is also the first song from her wedding in November. Some seriously fabulous dancing took place, and it was just an amazing time all around.

Time Productions provided the DJ service and kept the party rockin’ to the end. Mondo Video Productions was their cinematographer, and Stella Baking Company made the beautiful cake you see in the photos below. Scotland Run Wedding Photography is always fun, but sharing the say with Brittany and Devan was exceedingly amazing. Love you, ladies!
