Studio Philosphy

It's about more than just skill with a camera

We take care of you and your story.

I love telling your story. Every loving couple and every loving family should have their love story told. I love being of service in every way I can throughout wedding planning and wedding day journeys, and throughout the story of the life that unfolds after the wedding. I go above and beyond merely taking photographs. I also take care of all the little things no one thought of. I take care of the people around you.

I take care of you and your story.

I believe in providing the best customer service experience. Period. Walter Elias Disney is an inspiration to me and how I approach everything I do. He believed in plussing: going above and beyond what is expected. I bring a similar approach to everything I do, which means doing much more than creating unforgettable images of your wedding day, family event, performance, or business. I take care of my clients so that the telling of their story is done with love, care, and incomparable service.

I have been awarded Best of Weddings in The Knot in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 as well as WeddingWire’s Couples’ Choice Award 2012, 2015, 2016,2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. In 2014 my studio was inducted into The Knot’s “Best of Weddings Hall of Fame.” These are all awards based on reviews our couples have written over the years.

"Act Naturally" is an oxymoron.

When people are asked to stop being themselves and pose, to do things which might feel awkward, that awkward feeling shows in the photographs. You can tell it's fake, and the people being photographed might even look miserable.

I believe in a more organic approach. Instead of giving people specific motions or poses, I'll suggest movements or interactions that will provide a more natural feel and flow. The vast majority of my photographs are not staged. They are real. Even posed "formal" shots are made fun and easy.

The joy, the laughter, the romance, the love, the celebration, the ceremony, the interactions, and the cherished moments that I capture are not staged.
