Studio Philosphy

It's about more than just skill with a camera

We take care of you and your story.

I love telling your story. Every loving couple and every loving family should have their love story told. I love being of service in every way I can throughout wedding planning and wedding day journeys, and throughout the story of the life that unfolds after the wedding. I go above and beyond merely taking photographs. I also take care of all the little things no one thought of. I take care of the people around you.

I take care of you and your story.

I believe in providing the best customer service experience. Period. Walter Elias Disney is an inspiration to me and how I approach everything I do. He believed in plussing: going above and beyond what is expected. I bring a similar approach to everything I do, which means doing much more than creating unforgettable images of your wedding day, family event, performance, or business. I take care of my clients so that the telling of their story is done with love, care, and incomparable service.

I have been awarded Best of Weddings in The Knot in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 as well as WeddingWire’s Couples’ Choice Award 2012, 2015, 2016,2017, 2018, and 2019. In 2014 my studio was inducted into The Knot’s “Best of Weddings Hall of Fame.” These are all awards based on reviews our couples have written over the years.

When it comes to other events such as Mitzvahs, I love telling the story of one of the most important events in the life of a young person. I love capturing that moment in time as they leave their childhood behind and celebrate the occasion with their beloved family and friends.

I love following my couples into the next phases of their lives together, whether it be raising a family, or embarking on other exciting adventures. I love being their LifeStory photographers!

"Act Naturally" is an oxymoron.

When people are asked to stop being themselves and pose, to do things which might feel awkward, that awkward feeling shows in the photographs. You can tell it's fake, and the people being photographed might even look miserable.

I believe in a more organic approach. Instead of giving people specific motions or poses, I'll suggest movements or interactions that will provide a more natural feel and flow. The vast majority of my photographs are not staged. They are real. Even posed "formal" shots are made fun and easy.

The joy, the laughter, the romance, the love, the celebration, the ceremony, the interactions, and the cherished moments that I capture are not staged. I tell the real story of your wedding celebration, Mitzvah, Confirmation, Baptism, Anniversary, Reunion, Funeral, or any other life event, in images that will last forever. I tell the stories of the funny things that happened and the laughter that was shared. I capture the moments so that you can relive them for many years to come.
