Amylynne and Andrew had an amazing wedding. I had photographed their engagement session back in September, and photographer Amylynne’s sister Beth’s wedding on April 1st. This is a hell of a fun family, and I was really looking forward to seeing so many familiar faces again. Amylynne is Irish and Andrew is Scot, and they brought awesome pieces of each side to the celebration. The guys wore kilts and frankly, were probably a lot more comfortable in the July heat than most of the other guests. Amylynne looked amazing thanks in part to the always fun team from Stylist Touch Salon. We were joined once again by our good friend Nick with Scarlet Creek Productions, who captured the madness on video and now has plenty of blackmail material.
Andrew led the guys to the ceremony carrying a full size replica of Aragorn’s sword Anduril, which he planted in a stand at the front of the ceremony. Their ceremony was full of Irish and Scottish traditions including the sharing of the quaich and hand fasting. They wrote beautiful vows to each other, and sealed their union in front of family and friends. Some quick portraits around the little historic town followed, then it was party time. Galway Guild did a great job entertaining the good people (and brother Patrick) and everyone had an unforgettable time.
Thank you so much, Amylynne, for including me in the beautiful madness of your family and friends. I really hope I get to continue to see all of you in future weddings and for any other photographic needs you may have over the years!
